On Friday, we’re hosting a follow-up discussion with Jefferies China biotech analyst Cui Cui, who wrote a must-read report called “Shopping in China's Biotech Supermarket.” She’s one of a handful of analysts closely following the biotech action on the Chinese mainland, and she offers a sharp contrast to Weinberg’s perspective.
In her report, Cui wrote about how large pharma companies, as well as some investors, are bypassing the US startup market to go shopping for assets in China, and how the explosion there of experimental drugs, easy access to patients, rapid speed and low costs are going to make China biotech a permanent power in the global biopharma landscape.
